Good WX and tough 20M propagation, but had fun. WA4JA/Mobile
There seemed to be more activity this year. It was great fun chasing the mobiles, and working the others who took time away from the nets. N4VA/Mobile
Caught the last part of the contest from the hotel after Dayton Hamvention. Antenna was a 90 foot end fed wire thrown in a tree. Fun contest! W7KU
This was my first CHC since getting started again with county hunting this past January 2005. I first started county hunting in 1964 when K6BX, Clif Evans, ran the net and program. It was much slower those days working new counties. There weren't many mobilers running around like today giving out counties. If I didn't travel each month overseas I'd probably be able to complete all counties worked in less than a year. Hope to work the contest next year and get a better score. 73, Karl, K4YT
My 100 Watt station is in an antenna restricted mobile home park. My main antenna is a 14' high by 27' wide Delta Loop that is radially mounted on the back wall of the mobile home. A 56' Windom runs the length of the center beam of the house, and a 10' X 13' horizontal loop ocupies the periphery of the inside ceiling of the radio room. I really enjoy County Hunting though. K6CSL
